art gawking

i’ve been telling myself for MONTHS that i need to work on my art.

as with all talents…if you don’t USE it you LOSE it!

i still have an oil painting i started…psh…MONTHS ago that sits in the easel right where i left it. unfinished. i was experimenting with pallet painting.

and last weekend i bought watercolor paper feeling inspired to improve.

boxes of tubes of paint. brushes. and stacks of blank canvases. i should get with it already!

i ought to start a “daily doodle” concept again. just for practice.

or i should turn one of my bedroom walls into a chalk board. FANTASTIC!

anyway…i was loving some artwork by artist Yuriy Ratush today…check it:

and i find the Italian artist Chiara Fersini to be pretty dagum talented:

perhaps i will let out a little creativity this weekend…

love, whit

  1. being an art major I never thought I would stop being creative and painting and doing all the things I love! but yes, like you i get out of the artsy phase and move into the boring phase. I bought a couple canvases and some new acrylic paint a couple weeks ago for a painting for my room. I will take your advice too! artsy fartsy here i come!
